Jason Matlock

He supports the behavioral threat assessment (BTA) team as a subject matter expert and leads expanded marketing efforts to raise awareness for improving school safety through BTA solutions.

Jason spent much of his career in public service, starting as a police officer, moving from patrol to SWAT, to becoming a school resource officer. He then transitioned into school district leadership, where he advocated for efforts to maintain student safety while implementing more restorative and equitable practices across the district.

Jason holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and justice administration with a minor in African American studies from Western Illinois University. He is a proud husband and father of three daughters.
